This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 2 to 5 to conduct the enquiry against the respondents No. 6 to 10 and take action against them, on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 20.02.2024. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the 10th Respondent has taken the jewels and other articles for the which the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur District. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the complaint of the petitioner was forwarded to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur by the Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pattukottai, Thanjavur, has also filed a report to the Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur, stating that the allegations are false. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has also produced a report of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pattukottai, 3/6
4.Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Writ Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to workout his remedy before the Judicial Magistrate concerned by filing a complaint as against the concerned person under Section 156(3) of Cr.P.C. In the event, if the petitioner makes out a case, it can be referred and the Judicial Magistrate concerned shall pass suitable orders. No costs.
