ORDER

The petitioner has come forward seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 28.03.2015 and thereafter to give necessary police protection for the conduct of festival from 03.04.2015 to 14.04.2015.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent, the writ petition itself taken up for final disposal.

4. The learned Government Advocate submitted that in view of the continuous problem that has been arisen between two groups, a recommendation has been made to the Tashildar, Sivagiri to convene a peace committee meeting.

5. This Court cannot interfere with the dispute between two parties. However based on the letter sent by the second respondent to the Tahsildar, Sivagiri, Tirunelveli District, the said Authority is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

directed to convene a peace committee meeting within a period of two days, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Based on the decision of the Tahsildar, Sivagiri, Tirunelveli District, the second respondent will have to give adequate police protection towards smooth and proper running of the festival.

6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
