PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to transfer the investigation in Crime No.69 of 2022 from the file of the third respondent to the file of the fourth respondent and consequently, direct the fourth respondent to conduct proper 1/5

investigation in an expeditious manner and to file the final report within the stipulated period as prescribed by this Court. For petitioner : Mr.R.L.Dhilipan Pandian For Respondents : Mr.B.Nambiselvan Additional Public Prosecutor O RDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in Crime No.69 of 2022 from the file of the third respondent to the file of the fourth respondent and consequently, direct the fourth respondent to conduct proper investigation in an expeditious manner and file the final report within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's husband was found dead in the street and the third respondent Police has registered a case in Crime No.69 of 2022 for the offence punishable under Section 174 Cr.P.C, however, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, this Petition has been filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents Police submits that during the pendency of this petition, 2/5

investigation was closed as action dropped. Hence, if at all the petitioner is having any grievance, she has to work out her remedy in the manner known to law.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents Police, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to work out her remedy in the manner known to law. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
