O R D E R

The petitioner seeks limited relief of issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to complete the enquiry proceedings initiated in Na.Ka. 6213/2023/P, dated.01.12.2023 for grant of patta in favour of the petitioner. 1/4

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent.

3. The petitioner has made an application for issuance of patta.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader submit that even in the representation of the petitioner, the petitioner claims that the mistake has occurred during URD survey. If that be so, the competent authority would be the District Revenue Officer. In any event, the petitioner's application has been taken on file by the respondent even as early as in 2023 and there has been no substantial progress pursuant to the same.

5. In the light of the above, the respondent is directed to conclude the enquiry and pass final orders, after affording a fair opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. In the event of the Revenue Divisional Officer finding that the matter pertains to UDR correction, he shall forward his report to the District Revenue Officer within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order 2/4

and the District Revenue Officer shall pass final orders, within a period of four

(4) weeks from the date of report from Revenue Divisional Officer.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
