O R D E R

The petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to implement the order issued by the first respondent dated 30.04.2025.

2. Mr. P. Subbaraj, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for respondents 1 and 2.

3. The second respondent had earlier issued a legal heirship certificate dated 20.03.2014 in favour of respondents 3 to 6. The petitioner claims to be the brother of the third respondent and further states that respondents 4 to 6 are the legal heirs of one Sheikha Farhana. The petitioner challenged the said legal heirship certificate before the first respondent on the ground that it had been obtained fraudulently, and 2/5

also on the premise that a civil suit between the parties is pending.

4. The first respondent, by order dated 30.04.2025, cancelled the legal heirship certificate issued in favour of the private respondents. The grievance of the petitioner is that, despite the said order, the second respondent has not taken steps to implement the same.

5. This Court has considered the submissions made on either side and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the fact that the first respondent has already cancelled the legal heirship certificate issued in favour of the private respondents, nothing further survives for consideration by the second respondent. Consequently, the writ petition is disposed of with an observation that the legal heirship certificate dated 20.03.2014 issued in favour of respondents 3 to 6 shall not be given effect to. 3/5

7. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
