PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 to 4 to issue patta in to the petitioner's house in Survey No.878/3 situated at Sippiparai Village, Vembakkottai Taluk, Virudhunagar District based on the petitioner's petition to the first respondent dated 12.02.2024.

The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 2 to 4 to issue patta in respect of petitioner's house at S.No.878/3, situated at Sippiparai Village, Vembakkottai Taluk, Virudhunagar District.
2.Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and S.Kameswaran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3.The petitioner has approached the first respondent District Collector with a representation dated 12.02.2024, seeking patta. The 2/5
first respondent has forwarded the representation of the petitioner to the third respondent. The third respondent has already recommended the issuance of patta to the petitioner in proceedings dated 31.03.2023 addressed to the second respondent. However, Mr.Kameswaran, learned Government Advocate would submit that considering the lands are natham lands, the third respondent has authority to dispose of the application of the petitioner. 4.In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the third respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's request for patta, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all other interest parties, within a period of eight [8] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
