Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to forbear the respondents in any way changing the nature and use of the land earmarked as Temple and Oorani in Village Records and in A Register and consequently preserve the land admeasuring 1.10 hectare as Temple and Oorani situated at S.No.53/9, in Cholandur Village, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District. O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J.] The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking to forbear the respondents in any way changing the nature and use of the land earmarked as Temple and Oorani in Village Records and in A Register, and consequently preserve the land admeasuring 1.10 hectare as Temple and Oorani situated at S.No.53/9, in Cholandur Village, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District. 2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents would submit that as of now there is no proposal to use the said land in Survey No.53/9, Cholandur Village, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District for any other purpose. The said statement is recorded.

3. In view of the said stand taken by the respondents, nothing survives for adjudication in this petition. This Writ Petition is, therefore, dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
