This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant necessary permission and provide adequate police protection for conducting Adal Padal function on 22.05.2022 at about 07.00 p.m in connection with Urasava Festival of Sri Ellaimariamman Kovil situated at Kamarajapuram, Pudukottai Town, Pudukottai District based on the petitioner's representation, dated 17.05.2022.

2. The petitioner is a committee member of Sri Ellaiamman Kovil at Kamaraqjapuram, Pudukottai Town, Pudukottai District. The village people decided to conduct the temple festival on 22.05.2022. In that regard, the petitioner approached the respondents at several occasions in person and requested them to give permission to conduct temple festival, but there was no action taken by them till date. Hence the petitioner approached this Court by filing this writ petition.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 17.05.2022 in accordance with law and pass orders on or before 21.05.2022.
