PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to remove the wrong entry and wrong classification of Sarkar Poramboke in the Town survey land register for the lands comprised in old Survey No. 602/P now assigned as Ward A, Chatramputhukulam, Thachanallur Town, Block 21 T.S.No.91 Chidambaram Nagar, Tirunelveli Corporation to an extent of 18.39 cents and incorporate the name of the petitioner and his sons, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2023 and consequently direct the 4th respondent to issue patta in respect of the property in old Survey No.602/P now assigned as Ward A, Chatramputhukulam, Thachanallur Town, Block 21 T.S.No.91 Chidambaram Nagar, Tirunelveli Corporation to an extent of 18.39 cents within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court. This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to remove the wrong entry and wrong classification of Sarkar Poramboke in the Town survey land register for the lands comprised in old Survey No.602/P now assigned as Ward A, Chatramputhukulam, Thachanallur Town, Block 21 T.S.No.91 Chidambaram Nagar, Tirunelveli Corporation to an extent of 18.39 cents and incorporate the name of the petitioner and his sons, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2023 and consequently direct the 4th respondent to issue patta in respect of the above said property.

According to the petitioner, he has made a representation to the respondents 1 to 5 on 23.03.2023, requesting them to rectify the error in the Town survey land register for the lands comprised in old Survey No. 602/P now assigned as Ward A, Chatramputhukulam, Thachanallur Town, Block 21 T.S.No.91 Chidambaram Nagar, Tirunelveli Corporation and to issue a Town survey register by including the petitioner's name and his son's name for the properties. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

notice for the respondents 1 and 5 and Mrs.M.Anitha, learned Standing counsel takes notice for the respondents 2 to 4.

Considering the above said facts, this Court directs the respondents 2, 3 and 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After making necessary correction in the Town survey land register, the petitioner has to approach the fifth respondent for necessary mutation in the revenue records and to issue patta to him.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
