JUDGMENT
(By G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) Heard both sides.
2.The appellant is a registered self held group. They claim that they were engaged in quarrying activities. They approached the District Collector, Madurai seeking issuance of experience certificate for having done quarry work for not less than two years. The request was denied. Challenging the stand of the District Collector, Madurai, W.P.(MD)No.3788 of 2022 was filed. The learned Single Judge dismissed the writ petition. Aggrieved by the same, this writ appeal has been filed.
3.When the matter was taken up for disposal, the learned Government Advocate drew our attention to the amendment made to Tamil Nadu Minor Minerals Concession Rules, 1959. The quota earlier earmarked for women self help group has now been given up. Therefore, even if the experience certificate as sought for is issued in favour of the appellant, it is not going to serve any purpose. 2/4
