ORDER

Seeking a direction to the learned III Additional Subordinate Judge, Madurai, to dispose of the matrimonial proceedings in H.M.O.P.No.236 of 2013 within a prescribed time, this civil revision petition is filed after invoking the provisions of Article 227 of the Constitution of India.

2.The petitioner has filed a petition in H.M.O.P.No.236 of 2013 on the file of the learned III Additional Subordinate Judge, Madurai, under Section 13(1)(1-a) of the Hindu Marriage Act, seeking the relief of divorce as against the respondent herein. 3.It is pertinent to note that this petition in H.M.O.P.No.236 of 2013 was filed as early as on 31.05.2013. The respondent / wife has also entered appearance on 31.05.2013. However, she did not file her counter statement in the above said petition for the past two years. Only on the ground of want of counter, the above said petition has been periodically adjourned unnecessarily. Therefore, the petitioner herein has approached this Court with the present Civil Revision petition.

4.Heard Mr.M.Saravanan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the grounds.

5.Having been satisfied with the reasons assigned in the grounds of civil revision, this Court finds that a direction may be issued to the learned III Additional Subordinate Judge, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Madurai, as requested by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

6.Accordingly, this Civil Revision petition is disposed of with a direction to the learned III Additional Subordinate Judge, Madurai to dispose the H.M.O.P.No.236 of 2013 within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
