Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records in pursuant to the impugned order passed by the 2nd respondent in B.P. Ms. (F.B) No. 65 (Administration Branch) dated 12.08.1985 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to fix the Petitioner Union Members Seniority above to the Directly recruited Assistant Engineers in the calendar year in accordance with Sec. 87 (10 A) of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Regulations.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the order passed by the 2nd respondent in B.P. Ms. (F.B) No. 65 (Administration Branch) dated 12.08.1985 and consequently direct the respondents to fix the petitioner Union Members Seniority above to the Directly recruited Assistant Engineers in the calendar year in accordance with Sec. 87 (10 A) of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Regulations. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 2.Though the prayer in this writ petition is large in nature,

the learned Counsel for the petitioner confined the prayer to the extent of seeking a direction to consider the petitioner's representation submitted to the respondents on 08.01.2015, in respect of fixation of seniority of the petitioner Union Members. Such a prayer is also agreed by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.Under such circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.01.2015, on merits and in accordance with law and pass necessary orders, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
