: Respondents Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to pay appropriate interest to the petitioner for the delayed payment of pension and other retail benefits by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2015 within a reasonable time as may be specified by this Hon'ble Court.

The prayer in the Writ Petition is for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to pay appropriate interest to the petitioner for the delayed payment of pension and other retail benefits by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2015 within a reasonable time. 2.Mr.R.Anandha Raj, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the first respondent and Mr.P.Gunasekaran, learned counsel takes notice for the second respondent.

3.By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4.The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.02.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
