PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No. 87 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested on 02.03.2024 for the alleged offence under Sections 174 of Cr.P.C. @ 302, 120(B), 397, 365 and 201 of IPC in Crime No.87 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that on 29.02.2024 at about 11.30 a.m., on information, the Village Assistant of Athikulam Deivendri Village went to Srivilliputhur-Athikulam Road, Cholankulam Kanmai, nearby Moddaippasamy 1/3
Temple and found a dead body aged around 60 years. Thereafter, he went to the respondent police and gave information in this regard and upon the receiving the same, the respondent police registered the FIR in Crime No.87 of 2024 for the offence under Section 174 of Cr.P.C. After investigation, it reveals that the petitioner and other accused committed murder of the deceased. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case and he is languishing in jail from 02.03.2024. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has objected for grant of bail on the ground that the petitioner and other accused committed murder of the deceased and the investigation is pending.
5.Considering the gravity of the offence and the stage of the investigation, this Court is not inclined to grant bail.
6.Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
