ORDER

This petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the District Consumer Redressal Forum to dispose of the complaint pending on its file in C.C.No.124/2015 within a stipulated time.

2. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent.

3. When a specific query was made to the petitioner as to why the petitioner had not approached the State Consumer Redressal Forum, which has got administrative control over the District Forum under Section 24B of the Act, the learned counsel for the petitioner has got no reply.

4. Section 24B of the Act, which was introduced by means of an amendment, which states that generally the State Commissions shall have administrative control over all the District Fora within its jurisdiction in all matters referred to in sub Section (1) of 24B, which includes the power to over see the functions of the District Fora to ensure that the objects and purpose of the Act are best served. State Commission for the relief sought for. When the petitioner has got an alternative remedy, this Court cannot entertain the civil revision petition. Accordingly, the civil revision petition is dismissed. No costs.
