ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner appeal dated 24.10.2014 filed under the Right to Information Act, within the time stipulated by this Court

2. Mr.N.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the first respondent and Mr.B.Adhimoolapandiyan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the second and the third respondents.

3. By consent, this Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice if the appeal of the petitioner is

disposed of on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents have no objection in considering the request of the petitioner.

6. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the appeal of the petitioner, dated 24.10.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this order should not be construed as giving any positive direction to the respondent and he should pass orders depending upon the facts and circumstances of the case.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
