Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner was granted the license to collect parking fees from the vehicle users who visit Seeradi Sai Baba Temple in Mekkudi Village in Manikandam Village Panchayat, Trichy District. The petitioner had paid the entire license fee and his license was to be in force till 21.08.2020.

3.The grievance of the petitioner is that on account of Covid-19 out-break, the temple was closed and the petitioner could not enjoy the benefits of the license. The petitioner's counsel points out that in the case of the Temples coming under Hindu https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.10698 of 2020 Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, the Commissioner had issued an advisory directing the Executive Officers to consider the request of the licensees for extension of the license period. He also pointed out that in number of cases, this Court had also directed the extension of the license period. 4.The petitioner had submitted a request to the second respondent for extension of his license period. The second respondent is directed to consider the case of the petitioner for such extension and pass orders on the petitioner's representation within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
