O R D E R

The petitioner seeks issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to issue patta to the petitioner and his family members by effecting transfer of patta from the name of petitioner's father, namely Mariyasoosai to the petitioner and other legal heirs.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. Admittedly, Patta No.860 has been mutated in the name of the petitioner's father, namely Mariyasoosai s/o Savariyappan. Pursuant to the demise of the said Mariyasoosai, the petitioner has made a representation for patta transfer.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the petitioner has not made an online application which is mandatory for seeking patta transfer.

5. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to make an online application for transfer of patta within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. On such application being made by the petitioner, the 3rd respondent shall consider the said application, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner to produce all the relevant documents and thereafter, shall pass final orders, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of application to be filed by the petitioner.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
