Prayer in WP(MD). 13951/ 2019 :

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 27.05.2019 and include the name of the petitioner in the C list of HC/SSIs (Local) fit for promotion as Sub Inspectors of Police ( Local) for the year 2019 and grant promotion to the petitioner as Sub Inspector of Police at present, pending passing of final order by the 1st respondent in PR.No.40/2015 of Virudhunagar District and to grant all the service, monetary and other attendant benefits. Prayer in WMP(MD). 10455/ 2019 :

To pass an order of Interim Direction directing the respondents to depute the petitioner to undergo 9 weeks PrePromotional Training to be started from 24.06.2019 at the Police Academy, Chennai along with the candidates found in the C list of HC/SSIs (Local) fit for promotion as Sub Inspectors of Police 1/3

( Local) for the year 2019 published in the Proceedings C.No.A1 (1) 19330/389/2019 dated 20.05.2019 of the 4th respondent pending disposal of the main Writ Petition.

ORDER

This Contempt Petition is filed to punish the contemnors / respondents for their wanton and willful disobedience of the order dated 21.06.2019 passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.13951 of 2019. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner has been attached to Sattur Town Police Station for 3 months practical training from 07.09.2020 F.N., In this regard, he has produced a copy of the proceedings dated 05.09.2020 before this Court.

3.On perusal of the proceedings dated 05.09.2020, it is seen that the Additional Chief Secretary to Government informed that the departmental proceedings in P.R.No.40 of 2015 will be completed within a period of two months.

4.Recording the above and in view of the submission made by the learned Additional Advocate General, nothing survives for further adjudication in this contempt petition and accordingly, this Contempt Petition stands closed.
