ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to transfer the investigation in Crime No.28/2024 from the file of the Devadhanapatti police station to the file of the CBCID, Theni.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the de-facto complainant, of the aforesaid crime which was lodged with the 4th respondent police, with respect to the unnatural death of deceased Suriya Kannan. Since there is no progress in the investigation, this Criminal Original Petition came to be filed.

3. Learned Government Advocate submitted that intially the fourth respondent conducted the investigation, later the investigation had been 2/5

transferred from Devadhanapatti police station to Batlagundu police station. The investigation in this case is ongoing and the same will be concluded as expeditiously as possible within a period of four weeks.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, the Inspector of Police, Batlagundu Police Station, Dindigul District, is directed to proceed with the investigation as expeditiously as possible and conclude the same in the period of four weeks. The second respondent is directed to monitor the investigation and the fourth respondent police is direct appraised the progress of the investigation from time to time every Friday.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 02.02.2026 NCC : yes / no Index : yes / no Internet : yes / no pnn 3/5
