The petitioner seeks issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to cancel Patta No.558 issued to the 4th respondent.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the official respondents.

3. The petitioner has approached the 2nd respondent by way of appeal as early as on 30.06.2023 seeking cancellation of patta issued to the 4th respondent. The said application is kept pending without any progress and hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by seeking issuance of writ of mandamus.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner's appeal is pending right from June 2023 onwards, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the 2nd respondent to consider the appeal and pass final orders, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner as well as the respondents 4 and 5, if necessary, on merits and in 2/4

accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
