ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to furnish the information sought for by the petitioner within a stipulated time.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is an agriculturist and cultivating his land from the time immemorial. The Government of Tamil Nadu announced a Scheme for providing crop insurance fund to the real cultivators. In the year 2012 the petitioner approached the respondents to furnish the information regarding the quantum of crop insurance per acre. In this regard, he sent a representation on 28.01.2014. But the petitioner was directed to file an appeal before the Tamil Nadu Information Commission. But, in spite of filing an appeal on 11.09.2014, the request of the petitioner was not considered so far. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court with the above said prayer.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side.
4.Without going into the merits of the contentions raised by the petitioner in this writ petition, the first respondent is directed to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 11.09.2014, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected M.P(MD)No.1 of 2015 is closed.
