ORDER

This Revision is filed seeking for a direction to the II Additional District Munsif Court, Thiruchirappalli to expedite the proceedings in O.S.No.1600 of 2010 within a stipulated time.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the records.

3. The petitioner is the fourth defendant in O.S.No.1600 of 2010. The respondents 1 to 5 have filed the suit against the petitioner and respondents 6 to 8 for permanent injunction.

4. Mr.S.Karthick, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the suit was filed in the year 2010, it has ripen for trial and it has been adjourned periodically without any progress and the delay in disposal of the suit causes grave hardship and mental agony to the petitioner. It is further submitted that the right to speedy disposal is guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India.

Considering the above said submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and without going into the merits of the case, the learned II Additional District Munsif, Thiruchirappalli is directed to dispose the suit in O.S.No.1600 of 2010 as expeditiously as possible, preferably on or before 31.12.2016.

6. With the above directions, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
