Heard Mr.C.Ezhilarasu, learned Counsel for petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.
2.The writ petitioner has filed a revision before the first respondent, aggrieved by the order of the second respondent Revenue Divisional Officer. The said appeal has been preferred on 28.02.2025, seeking restoration of patta in the name of the petitioner.
3.Considering the limited relief sought for in the Writ Petition, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the first respondent to hear the revision filed by the petitioner dated 28.02.2025, after giving reasonable opportunity of the petitioner as well as the fourth respondent and pass final orders in accordance with law and on merits, within a period of twelve [12] weeks from 2/5
the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that pending final decision by the first respondent, the revenue authorities shall not entertain any application for mutation of records. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
