ORDER

The petitioner in this revision is the respondent/wife in H.M.O.P.No.250 of 2009 on the file of the Family Court, Madurai.

2. We do not wish to go in detail about the various contentions canvassed before us and the pleas urged. Suffice it for us to record that H.M.O.P.No.250 of 2009 is pending for the past over seven years. We are able to see that the family Courts are not in a position to handle the quantum of work but however the Act expected the proceedings to be decided expeditiously and the case itself is required to be decided in six months time. Since more than seven years time has already lapsed, we direct the Family Court, Madurai, to take up the H.M.O.P.No.250 of 2009 for disposal at the earliest and at any rate, dispose it of on merits before end of this year. To the extent possible, the family Court may avoid entertaining the interlocutory applications to be moved in the H.M.O.P, as it may tend to keep the main H.M.O.P pending for a quite long period thereby delaying its disposal.

3. With the above directions, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
