Respondents This Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to take legal action on the petitioner's representation dated 11.11.2014 with regard to the change of House Tax, Water Tax and underground drainage tax for the property situated at Ward No.48, Karimsha Pallivasal, 3rd Street Town Survey No.759/2.3 in favour of the petitioner within the prescribed time.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to take legal action on the petitioner's representation dated 11.11.2014 with regard to the change of house tax, water tax and underground drainage tax for the property situates at Ward No.48, Karimsha Pallivasal, 3rd Street Town Survey No.759/2.3 in favour of the petitioner within the prescribed time.

2. Mr.R.Prabhu Ramachandran, learned Additional Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent, this Writ Petition itself is taken up final disposal.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents has no objection in considering the request of the petitioner.

6. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, the second respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 11.11.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this order should not be construed as giving any positive direction to the respondent who should pass orders depending upon the facts and circumstances of the case.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
