The petitioner, a lorry owner has filed this writ petition, seeking a direction to the Inspector of Police, Marthandam to consider his representation and permit him to operate lorry services to Marthandam Bridge, Kanyakumari District.
2.Mr.F.Deepak, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for R1 and R3 and Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for R2 & R4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that a restriction has been imposed by the District Collector, Trichy in his proceedings dated, 31.01.2025. Regional Transport Authority and the District Collector, the respondent police has nothing to do with the request of this petitioner.
3.Recording the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this writ petition is dismissed, with liberty to this petitioner to challenge the orders of the District Collector, if he is so advised. No costs.
