: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to grant 15 days emergency leave to the petitioner's husband namely, Dhilipkumar, S/o late Murugesan, a life convict prisoner now confined at Central Prison, Palayamkottai without escort for the purpose of fulfilling his mother's last wish and to admit her son in school. This writ petition is filed seeking a Mandamus to consider the representation for grant of 15 days emergency leave to the husband of the petitioner, by name, Dhilipkumar, S/o late Murugesan, a life convict prisoner now confined at Central Prison, Palayamkottai. 2/4

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor states that the request of the petitioner has been rejected vide order dated 08.04.2025 citing the reasons.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the reasons are not sustainable under law.
