ORDER
The prayer sought for in the writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay the petitioner's outstanding gratuity amount by considering his representation, dated 23.01.2018.
2.Heard Mr.G.V.Vairam Santhosh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Sathiyasingh, learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 3.By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 4.The petitioner after having served for several years from 1971 as conductor at the respondent corporation, retired from service. However, his retirement benefits including gratuity and pensionary benefits still now has not been disbursed. Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 05.06.2018 to the respondents.

5.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that if the said representation is directed to be considered and an order to that effect is directed to be passed, the petitioner would be satisfied.
6.The learned standing counsel for the respondents would submit that the said representation, dated 05.06.2018 would be considered and an order to be passed within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
7.Considering the limited scope of the writ petition, this Court is inclined to pass the following order, (i) that the respondents shall consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.06.2018 on merits in accordance with law and pass orders, with regard to the grievance of the petitioner for getting retirement benefits, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8.With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
