This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members 2.According to the petitioner, there is a property dispute between the parties. The survey Nos.5/11B, 5/12 belongs to the petitioner. While so, a suit in OS No. 83 of 2022 on the file of District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate Court Kodaikanal was decreed in favour of the petitioner. One Parimala has also filed a suit in OS No. 213 of 2009 against the petitioner before the same Court and the same was dismissed for default. While so, the said Parimala and others caused life threat to the petitioner from enjoying the property. Therefore, the petitioner has sent a representation on 28.03.2025, but the same has not been considered. Hence, this petition.
3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that they have received the representation of the petitioner and assigned CSR No. 293 of 2025. They will conduct enquiry and take appropriate action within a period of 15 2/5
days.
4.Considering the prayer sought for by the petitioner and the third respondent also admitted the receipt of representation of the petitioner, this Court hereby directs the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and take appropriate action within a period of 15 days from the date of this order after affording opportunities to both parties and in accordance with law.
5.With the above observations and direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
