O R D E R

This writ petitioner is filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take appropriate action under the criminal law pursuant to the petitioner's complaint dated 23.06.2021 in the light of the dictum laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Lalitha Kumari Vs. Government of Uttar Pradesh and others reported in (2014)2 SCC as expeditously as possible within the time prescribed by this Court.

2. On earlier occasion i.e on 01.07.2021, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner himself appeared before the Enquiry Officer and gave a statement that he wanted to settle the matter amicably and on that basis the complaint was closed on 30.06.2021. The learned counsel for the petitioner sought time to get instruction in that regard.

3. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it is true that the petitioner himself has appeared before the respondent police as stated by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and in view of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.10916 of 2021 the same, the complaint was closed on 30.06.2021.

4. In view of the fact that the complaint was closed, nothing survives for adjudication in this petition. Accordingly, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
