O R D E R
This petition is filed by the petitioner to forbear the respondents 3, 4, 6 and 7 from granting permission to the villagers for conducting the Kabbaddi Tournament at Adhidhiravidar Street, Koppamapuri Village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Tiruchirappalli, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 07.03.2025.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the Page No. 2 of 6
village people decided to conduct Kabadi Tournament at Adhidhiravidar Street, Koppamapuri Village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Tiruchirappalli. If the permission is granted, there is a chance for communal clash between two groups. Last year also, the Kabadi tournament was conducted and ended with clash between two community people. Therefore, he sent a representation, dated 07.03.2025, but the same has not been considered. Hence, he filed this petition.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.Side) for the respondents 3, 4 6 and 7 would submit that the representation of the petitioner is under consideration and they will dispose of within a period of one week.
4. The prayer sought for in this petition is not to grant permission to the villagers for conducting Kabadi Tournament at a particular place. Such kind of prayer cannot be considered. However, since the representation of the petitioner is pending with the sixth respondent, it is for the sixth respondent to decide, if there is any valid grounds. Therefore, this Court directs the sixth respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation within a period of one week from the date of this order in Page No. 3 of 6
accordance with law.
5. With the abovesaid observations and directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
