Respondent PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to transfer the patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of Survey No.203/1B to an extent of 55 Cents from the existing patta No.1503 in the name of the petitioner's Husband Rajendran (Late) to an extent of 0.66.0 Hectares (1 Acre 63 Cents) situated at Thaniyamangalam Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District.

O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking examination of a representation dated 30.03.2023 by which, the petitioner seeks transfer of patta which stood in the name of her late. husband to her name. The petitioner had also enclosed a legal heirship certificate.

2. A direction is issued to the respondent, to issue notice to the petitioner herein and after examining the records and also examining if required, Mrs.Gandhimathi to whom a portion of the property was sold, proceed to do the necessary needful in accordance with the representation given by the petitioner. The entire exercise must be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
