ORDER
The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to carry out sub-division and thereafter, issue separate patta to the petitioner, based on his online applications dated 20.06.2023 and 19.12.2023.
2.I have heard Mr.RM.Arun Swaminathan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent.
3.Considering the limited scope of relief sought for in this writ petition, with the consent of the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
4.The petitioner's mother has purchased the property under registered sale deed dated 24.11.2004. Subsequent to her purchase, the mother of the petitioner has settled the property in favour of the writ petitioner and thereafter, the petitioner has made an application for issuance of patta after conducting survey.

5.Without going into the merits of the petitioner's claims, it would suffice to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's applications dated 20.06.2023 and 19.12.2023 on merits and in accordance with law pass final orders on the same within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the aforesaid directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
