O R D E R

The petitioner seeks issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's application for patta transfer in Na.Ka.No.A3/4693/2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite favorable reports submitted by the Village Administrative Officer and the Revenue Inspector way back in November and October 2022, the application for patta transfer in the name of the petitioner is pending for the past 3 years.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner's application for transfer of patta has not been disposed of for almost 3 years, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the 1st respondent, who is the competent authority in respect of held over properties, to pass final orders on the said application based on the reports received from the Village Administrative Officer and the Revenue Inspector, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 2/4

5. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
