Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to provide police protection, permission to conduct the "Paari Vettai and Padukalam" on 20.04.2015 from 03.00p.m. to 10.00p.m. in pursuant to "Masi-Panguni Perunthiruvizha" of the "Sree Muthalivinayagar, Sree Muthumariamman Thirukoil" situated at Oothukuli Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District" on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2015.

ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the respondents herein to provide police protection, permission to conduct the "Paari Vettai and Padukalam" on 20.04.2015 from 03.00p.m. to 10.00p.m. in pursuant to "Masi-Panguni Perunthiruvizha" of the "Sree Muthalivinayagar, Sree Muthumariamman Thirukoil" situated at Oothukuli Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District" on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2015.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents.

3. The matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that it has been resolved to permit the petitioner to conduct the function, in pursuant to the settlement arrived between the parties on 19.03.2014, subject to the condition that the petitioner should not use any arms and no "Mariyathai" is involved. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In view of the above, the Writ Petition stands disposed of and the respondents are directed to permit the petitioner to conduct the function, subject to the above said conditions and any other conditions that can be imposed by the respondents.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
