ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his representation, dated 19.12.2024, seeking rectification of UDR records, pertaining to old Survey No.292/1A2B in Manamadurai, Sivagangai District.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that his parents purchased 7.79 cents of land in the above mentioned survey number. Subsequently, the petitioner's parents settled the said property in favour of the petitioner and his siblings under a settlement deed, dated 31.01.2001. During UDR updation,
the measurement of the subject property has not been properly given. There is a discrepancy between old records and new UDR records with regard to measurement on the eastern side. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 19.12.2024 before the second respondent, seeking correction of measurement with regard to the subject property. The same has not been considered. Hence, he has come before this Court.
3. The Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.
4. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.12.2024, and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to petitioner and neighbouring land owners.
5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 24.06.2025 NCC :
