ORDER

The petitioner has challenged the summon issued by the Registration Department dated 28.04.2022 under which the Registrar concerned has directed the petitioner to appear on 30.05.2022 at 11.30 a.m., at the office of the Registrar for the purpose of enquiry and verification as to the complaint received by the Registrar with regard to the plea to cancel the document which has already been registered in Document Nos.2835/2020 and 2836/2020 pertaining to the petitioner and others.

2.Prima facie this Court feels that the said summon need not be challenged for any plausible reason, because it is the power of the Registrar to summon any such person, if such complaint has come that there has been a fraudulent registration taken place and pursuant to which such limited enquiry shall be conducted by the Registrar under the provisions of the Registration Act.

3. In that view of the matter, the petitioner cannot challenge the summon, and on that ground this writ petition is liable to be rejected and accordingly, this writ petition is rejected. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
