ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to provide suitable police protection to the life of the petitioner and his family members based on the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2015.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. Though the writ petitioner sought for a larger relief, the learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that it will suffice, if the pending representation of the petitioner is disposed of by the respondents.

5. Considering the submission made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, a direction is given to the respondents to consider and pass appropriate order on the pending representation of the petitioner, dated 13.02.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
