Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct Felicitate Meeting to the Honourable Prime Minister for awarding Bharatha Ratna Award to the Founder of Hindu Maha Sabha (Late) Thiru.Madhan Mohan Malavia at 05.00 p.m., to 09.30 p.m., on 18/4/2015 at South Car Street, Sucindram, Agasteeswaram Union, Kanyakumari District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 10/4/2015.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct Felicitate Meeting to the Honourable Prime Minister for awarding Bharatha Ratna Award to the Founder of Hindu Maha Sabha (Late) Thiru.Madhan Mohan Malavia at South Car Street, Sucindram, Agasteeswaram Union, Kanyakumari District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 10/4/2015.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that by conducting Felicitate Meeting for awarding Bharatha Ratna Award, no troubles would cause to the local public.
4. Mr.R.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that there are some objections for conducting the meeting.
5. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner by way of a reply, submitted that several meetings have been held by all the political parties.
6. Considering the submissions made by both the parties, the third respondent Police cannot deny the request of the petitioner. The petitioner is permitted to appear before the third respondent Police and on such appearance, the third respondent will have to give necessary permission to conduct the function either in the said place or any other place which in his opinion is not objectionable.
7. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. The petitioner is permitted to appear before the third respondent Police within a period of one week from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and on such appearance, the third respondent will have to give necessary permission to conduct the function either in the said place or any other place which in his opinion is not objectionable. No costs.
