No.6478 of 2021:

Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., praying to direct the learned Special District and Sessions Court for trial of cases under SC/ST (POA) Act, Theni to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider their bail application on the same day in Crime No.170/2021 on the file of the Second Respondent.

ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Thiru. N. Marimuthu, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Thiru.R. M. Anbunithi, Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents No. 1 and 2, this Court made the following order:

This petition has been filed to extend the time granted in the order dated 06.05.2021 made in Crl.O.P(MD) No.6470 of 2021, on the file of this Court.

2.Today, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that due to lockdown, the petitioner could not produce two sureties before the concerned Court within the stipulated time prescribed by this Court and hence seek time to surrender. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Considering the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, 15 days time is extended from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered.
