PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, directing the Judicial Magistrate, Melur Taluk, Madurai District to complete the trial in CC No.20 of 2020, pending on its file within the stipulated time fixed by this Court. O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the learned directing the Judicial Magistrate, Melur Taluk, Madurai District to complete the trial in CC No.20 of 2020, pending on its file within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he is the defacto complainant in Crime No.24 of 2019, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 279, 337 & 304(A) IPC and even though Charge Sheet was filed and the same was taken on file in CC No.20 of 2020 by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur, Madurai and it is pending for more than a year without serving summons to the accused persons. It is also stated that the petitioner has filed claim petitions seeking compensation before the District Court, Madurai. Hence, seeking speedy trial of the case in CC No.20 of 2020, this petition came to be filed.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the fact that the occurrence took place in the year 2019 and the case is of the year 2020, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur, Madurai to expedite the trial and dispose of the case within six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.9664 of 2021 shall also be submitted to the Registry of this Court. 4.With the above direction, this this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
