O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition to call for the records relating to the impugned order passed by the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.37/Se.Aa/Kaa. Thu.Ka. A/Then/2022 dated 20.05.2022 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to grant permission and adequate police protection for conducting the B-Grade Kabaddi Tournament at Visuvanadhapuram, Periapillaivalasai Village, Senkottai Taluk, Tenkasi District from 04.06.2022 to 05.06.2022. 2.Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the first respondent rejected the representation of the petitioner by stating that there was a commotion between Lalakudiyiruppu Villagers and THADCO Nagar Villagers. W.P (MD).No.10511 of 2022 by the respondent police and it is further stated that there will be law and order problem. However, the first respondent police granted permission to conduct Kabbadi Tournaments in the nearby localities and the same is evident from the news published in Newspapers on 05.04.2022. Therefore, the impugned order is unwarranted. 4.A reading of the rejection order, dated 20.05.2022 appears to be very reasonable. The club, which is organising Kabadi Tournamnet. Therefore, the petitioner should furnish the particulars that who are all participants in the tournament and their details to the respondent police in the representation seeking permission. However, the petitioner did not do so. Therefore, the first respondent rightly rejected the same. Hence, the impugned order does not warrant any interference.

However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the respondent police with fresh representation by giving all particulars with undertaking. If such representation is given by the petitioner, the respondent police is directed to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law. 5.With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
