ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to cause to produce the body or person of petitioner's mother K.Chinnammal, aged 75 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. Today when the Habeas Corpus Petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the police already reached the detenue, who is staying with her husband.

3. The detenue has also given a statement, where her Left Thumb Impression as well as her husband Karuppanan's had been taken by the respondent police and that has been produced before this Court.

4. In the said statement, it is revealed by the detenue that for taking treatment at Annai Hospital in Thuraiyur, she had to stay with her son and

she is safely staying there and she is not under compulsion of anyone to stay there.

5. In view of the said statement having been given by the detenue herself, which has been recorded and produced by the respondent police, we feel that the detenue is not in the illegal custody of anyone including the third respondent. Therefore, recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
