ORDER

The present petition has been filed by a Juvenile in conflict with law in Crime No.16 of 2016 on the file of the first respondent police station seeking a direction to the Juvenile Justice Board, Dindigul to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider the petitioner's bail application on the same date of surrender.

2.The petitioner herein who is 13 years old is alleged to have committed offence under Sections 9 (m), 10 of Protection of Children from Sexual offences Act , read with Section 351 (2) of BNS, 2023.

3. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner has to appear for the 8th Std examinations and therefore, his bail application may be directed to be considered on the same date of surrender itself.

4. Considering the above said facts, the Juvenile Justice Board, Dindigul, is directed to accept the surrender of the petitioner in Crime No.16 of 2026 and consider the petitioner's bail application on the same day of surrender itself after giving due opportunity to the defacto complainant. 2/4

5. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
