Mr.N.Satheesh Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.Jerin Mathew, learned counsel, takes notice for the respondents 4 & 5.
2. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and learned counsel appearing for the respondents 3 & 4.
4. The short grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that he has suffered a punishment at the instance of the respondents 4 & 5 through proceedings bearing Na.Ka.No.224/2018-19, dated 22.10.2018 and aggrieved thereby, the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent as
early as on 21.01.2019 and the same is not being considered by the first respondent till date. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the said appeal.
5. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 fairly submitted that in case if the said appeal is not disposed of as on date, the same would be disposed of expeditiously by the first respondent.
6. In the light of the above, this writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 21.01.2019 filed by the petitioner against the proceedings bearing Na.Ka.No.224/2018-19, dated 22.10.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of eight weeks, if not already disposed of. No costs.
