ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for TANGEDCO and the learned Government Advocate for the fourth respondent. Private respondents have been served. He has not chosen to enter appearance.

2. The petitioner seeks free agricultural service connection. The petitioner is a joint pattadhar. He has a share in the common well also. The petitioner is said to have an independent piece of land measuring nearly an acre of land.

3. The learned standing counsel for TANGEDCO states that even in the common well, two service connection can be given. Merely because there is opposition from the co-pattadhar, the petitioner cannot be denied his right. R1 to R3 are directed to provide service connection to the petitioner as sought for. The fourth respondent is directed to provide police protection for grant of such connection. This shall be done as expeditiously as possible.

4. The Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
