: Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta in the name of the petitioner with respect of Survey No.262/7, admeasuring 11 cents, situated at Melapuduvayal village, Kulathur Taluk, Pudukkottai District by modifying the entries in the patta No.1221 based on the rectification Deed No.3898/2013 and Gift Deed No:1116/2013 within the time stipulated by this court.

O R D E R

By way of a representation dated 15.03.2014, the petitioner sought for issuance of patta in respect of the land situated at Survey No.262/7, admeasuring 11 cents, situated at Melapuduvayal village, Kulathur Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by modifying the entries in the patta No.1221 based on the rectification Deed No.3898/2013 and Gift Deed No:1116/2013 within the time stipulated by this court.

2.Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

3.By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal, at the admission stage itself. 4.The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation was not considered sofar. It is needless to say that it is for the second respondent to consider the request of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants, if any. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.Therefore, this Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner. However, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 15.03.2014 and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
