Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to celebrate the Daily Poojai, Monthly Thiruvilakku Poojai and Annual Chithra Pournami Nainar Nonbu Festival in the Arulmigu Perumalswamy Temple, South Soorankudi (Pottal Vilakku), Kanyakumari District and Thiyaki Chidambaranathan Gurupoojai Festival by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 01.04.2015. O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking direction to the respondents to provide adequate police protection to celebrate Daily Poojai, Monthly Thiruvilakku Poojai and Annual Chithra Pournami Nainar Nonbu Festival in the Arulmigu Perumalswamy Temple, South Soorankudi (Pottal Vilakku), Kanyakumari District and Thiyaki Chidambaranathan Gurupoojai Festival, by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 01.04.2015.

2. Mr.N.S.Ramakrishna Dass, learned counsel for the proposed respondent submitted that already an order has been passed by this Court in W.P.(MD).No.5280 of 2015 dated 10.04.2015, wherein it has been held as follows:

"3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that in spite of the petitioner sought for the above said prayer, it would be sufficed to direct the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.03.2015 on merits and in accordance with law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Accordingly, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.03.2015 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as rival groups, within a period of one weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner by way of reply submitted that the petitioner has not been heard.

4. Considering the same, without going into the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the representation made by the petitioner dated 01.04.2015 within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
