O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to give necessary police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner, based on the representation of the petitioner, dated 04.05.2021 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that she is the daughter of the fourth respondent herein and originally, she was in love with one Lakshmana Narayanan, but, that was not accepted by the fourth respondent and finally, an arranged marriage was solmenized with the third respondent. Because of the earlier love affair, the third respondent has continuously harassed the petitioner by joining the hands with the fourth respondent. Therefore, she voluntarily went out of the house and now, she is residing separately. Hence, she seeks police protection. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that on the basis of the representation made by this petitioner as well as the complaint given by the third respondent, enquiry was undertaken. During the course of enquiry, the petitioner herself gave a statement stating that out of her own volition, she went out of the matrimonial home and living separately and she was not abducted and kidnapped by any one. The Enquiry Officer also suitably advised the third respondent as well as the petitioner to maintain the cordiality

4. Since the dispute between the wife and husband has been settled, the question of harassment does not arise. Further, the petitioner's representation was also closed on 07.05.2021. Therefore, no question of providing police protection does not arise.

5. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
